Korea Calling at the Mayor’s Thames Festival

In just over a week’s time (the weekend of the 10th and 11th of September), London’s Mayor’s Thames Festival will take place. Thanks to the KCC, there will be something Korean there for everyone, with K-culture newbies as well as all manner of Korea fans catered for with music, comedy, film, live performances, taekwondo, and much more!

The Thames festival is a family-friendly do and a fab way to spend a weekend in London. I most enjoyed the Korean event at last year’s fest, which focused on bimbimbap (write-up to follow…) This year’s offering looks bigger, brighter and even better! I’m going to try to catch as much of Korea Calling as I can, but am particularly excited about joining in a taekwondo workshop!

Have a look at the poster and schedule below, and see what catches your eye. See you there 🙂

I’ll definitely try and make the silent film and a bit of korean slapstick is always worth a look.
